Happy Hour in Seminyak and What to Expect
For happy hour in Seminyak, late afternoon through sunset is prime time. Many deals begin between 4 PM and 5 PM and finish around 7 PM or 8 PM, although there are plenty of exceptions.
Corner House Bali runs buy-one-get-one-free drinks from 4 PM to 7 PM daily, while SugarSand offers its sunset-hour deals on signature cocktails and wine from 5 PM to 7 PM. Double-Six Rooftop stretches its two-for-one cocktail promotion from 5 PM to 9 PM, making it an easy option if sunset drinks turn into something longer.
Sports bars tend to cast an even wider net. Nirvana Sports Bar has advertised deals from 1 PM to 10 PM, including beer buckets and buy-one-get-one-free cocktails. Lucky Day Sports Bar runs its regular happy hour from 4 PM to 7 PM, while Fox & Rabbit starts its two-for-one drinks at 8 PM and keeps them going until closing. In other words, Seminyak gives you plenty of room to work with. An afternoon drink, sunset cocktail, or pre-night-out round can all qualify.
Happy Hour in Canggu and What to Expect
Happy hour in Canggu follows a similar pattern, although the deals are spread throughout the afternoon and evening. Lusa by Suka and Panama Kitchen & Pool both start at 3 PM, with their offers running until 6 PM. Revolver Canggu and Luigi’s Hot Pizza begin at 4 PM, while Friends Bar, The Plumbers Arms, Deus Ex Machina and Black Sand Brewery generally run happy hour between 5 PM and 7 PM. Later options are available too, with FINNS Beach Club schedules its two-for-one promotion from 8 PM to 9 PM, while XBar Canggu runs two-for-one cocktails from 7 PM to 10 PM.

The Catch With Most Happy Hour Deals
There is one obvious limitation. Happy hour, unfortunately, does keep an eye on the clock! A 5 PM to 7 PM deal generally means exactly that. Walk in at 7:05 PM and those five minutes could suddenly make your cocktail considerably more expensive. Promotions can also change depending on the day, season or whatever special event happens to be on, so yesterday’s deal is not automatically tonight’s deal.
For travellers who would rather spend their holiday choosing cocktails than calculating whether they have 17 minutes left to order one, there is another option.
